Operation Maple in Kincorth

January 25th, 2012 Posted in Grampian | Comments Off

In the latest day of action for Operation Maple, local policing officers in Nigg executed a drugs search warrant in the Kincorth area earlier this week.

Sergeant Lee Jardine, who led the operation, said:  "As a result of our proactive work, quantities of Cocaine and Cannabis worth a low four-figure sum were recovered with further enquiries ongoing."

Two males, aged 30 and 28, are due to appear in court later on Wednesday 25 January 2012, in connection with the seizures.

Nigg Local Policing Inspector Mark Cochrane said: "This latest successful day of action for Operation Maple shows that we are listening to the local community and acting on their concerns.

"We want our area to be as safe as it possibly can be, and we will continue to listen and deal with the small minority who are causing problems.

"We have further days of action set up over the next few months, and hope that our visibility in the community reassures local people that we will continue to crack down on anyone who flouts the law in our area."
